The things we do for love

Lots of activities we enjoy, including productive hobbies and homemaking, can lead to discomfort. 


  • Your favorite downtime occupation may be cooking a superb meal at home. But if your back is aching or your hands are stiff, food preparation can be a drag. Try AT. 


  • Making your surroundings beautiful may give you satisfaction, but what if your usual chores or do-it-yourself projects feel like they're doing you in? Try AT. 


  • If you're a crafter, you may look forward to finishing whatever you're making. But your progress may be hampered by the aches and pains of repetitive motion or weary from the weight of your tools. Try AT.  


The simple things in life that give us pride and pleasure deserve our best efforts. But they shouldn't leave us feeling wrecked. That's where AT comes in.

Do your best and feel your best

Making meals, a beautiful space, or handsome, useful objects or garments should be a pleasure. If the activity itself is doing you harm, the outcome isn't worth it. But just giving up the hurtful activity may not be an acceptable option, because it's something you love to do. It may also be a way of bonding to people you love – friends, colleagues, classmates, or family members.


Nevertheless, enduring continual pain can make your play less enjoyable.
